Poorest support and service I've ever experienced. My husband was prescribed a cough assist device by the neurologist at the Sarasota MDA clinic, for diminished vital capacity. The respiratory care company that covers the clinic did not accept his Florida Blue insurance at the time, so we were referred to Alliance Oxygen +Medical Equipment
The therapist who delivered the machine spent more time editorializing about the fact that she didn't believe that my husband needed the device, than she did with instructing him in its proper use. She suggested that he get an incentive spirometer from Amazon. Her instruction and demonstration was completely cursory. My husband was finding the device uncomfortable and difficult to use, and we literally found a YouTube video on its use, put out by the manufacturer.
We received zero follow up on my husband's progress. The technician promised to send some replacement filters (a starter kit), as she described it. She never sent anything, and I called the Sarasota office three times asking for a call back from her. No avail!

When my husband went on Medicare, we got into a quagmire about billing, which is too long to detail. We ultimately switched to the original company that covers the MDA clinic, and the service is like night and day. The therapist who delivered the device spent at least an hour instructing my husband and me on the use of the device, and he didn't leave until my husband demonstrated baseline proficiency. He also delivered a complete extra set of tubing and several filters. It is only a month and a half since the new company took over support (Millennium Respiratory Services, in case anybody is looking for excellence) and the therapist will be making his third home visit in follow up this Thursday.

Alliance Oxygen and Medical Equipment of Sarasota is an example of one of the poorest companies I've ever dealt with. I have filed a formal grievance with Federal Medicare about them.

Absolutely horrible customer service, and service. I contacted them because they are listed on Medicare's site as a local provider.

Tuesday morning: I called for a wheelchair and crutches, and was told that my physician needed to fax the prescription to them. I told them that, without the crutches and wheelchair, I was unable to get out of bed. I contacted my physician's office, they sent the fax while I was on the phone with them.
Wednesday afternoon: No contact from Alliance regarding the equipment. I called and left a voicemail asking about the status but received no response.
Thursday afternoon: I called again and spoke to someone whose name sounded, perhaps, like Malia. Her first remark was that they don't have crutches - that would have been handy to know two days earlier when I called asking for crutches. She then claimed that she had only received the order the day before (I had fax confirmation from 2 days before) and that the type of wheelchair wasn't specified so I'd have to talk to my doctor because they couldn't do anything without that information.

So, I spent three days confined to my bed while Alliance blundered about with people answering the phone who didn't know what they supply, ignored a prescription for two days, failed to return a call, had my contact info but didn't bother to let me know that the prescription wasn't detailed enough (or, and here's a novel concept, call the doctor's office and get clarification so that they could process the order) and then treated me like some difficult customer because they left me lying in bed for three days.

I told a friend about this experience, her husband receives his oxygen supplies from Alliance, and apparently they are always late, there's always some problem, and they are just generally a terrible company to deal with. Obviously, they make it a practice to be unhelpful, incompetent and unprofessional. For me it was mobility equipment, but what if you were sitting waiting for your oxygen?

2 weeks have passed and I am still waiting for my CPAP. Hit and miss with Customer Service staff. Reaching out to my insurance to get another vendor...ridiculous.

In January/2018 I purchased a cpap machine from Alliance for $ 1200.00. The tech came to my home and set up and showed me how the machine worked. My credit card was charged the appropriate $ 1200.00. Since then I have received two more bills for $ 1200.00 each time, and have had to dispute these charges each time, due to the company's horrible billing system. Upon calling Alliance and Aerocare, I was told that I was set up for a rental, but they realized I bought the machine and said it would be corrected. Two months has gone buy and they're still charging my credit card. I never gave them permission to put me on autopay, as this was not a rental. I am contacting medicare fraud as I suspect this company just continues to bill people to see how much money they can collect...

Terrible customer service. I will never ever use this company again! Took 3 days, and speaking to a supervisor before getting my portable nebulizer. CSR tried her best to put the blame on me! When it was dropped off at my work, it was left at the back door even though someone was coming to get it. Driver couldn't wait for 1 minute till we got to the door. I paid 30 dollars to have it delivered, really?

They advised a home fill unit for when we travel. I traveled to PA and it did not work. I called them and the tech told me what to do to repair it , which I did all those things and still no fill. I returned to FL. and called and told them it does not fill and she said she would locate the tech. I waited all day. No tech. I called and she said he is working one hour away today. Now I am still waiting for the tech or a phone call. This is LIFE we are talking about. Meanwhile I get a call from Inogen wanting my oxygen business. I will give Alliance one more day and then I turn it all in and change companys.

Use this company only if you wish to be insulted and made to feel unsafe in your home. Plus you don't know who you are dealing with - Alliance, AeroCare or Matrix as delivery "technician" shows up with a different logo on pin on "badge", truck and invoice. Plus that, he lies!

They were suppose to drop an air generator off on a Tuesday. Waited all day. Called on Wednesday and were told it was on the truck. Called back at 4pm and was told it was on the truck. At 6pm a man( who looked like the janitor) said they told him to go to the office and get the generator and deliver it in his private car. So, it never was on a truck and they lied for 2 days, and the person it was intended for had to borrow an oxygen tank so he could breathe for two days
I would never recommend this company to anyone.
