I went to Stokes Pharmacy in King, NC on 8/13/16 to get a Glucose Meter because mine had broken. The on-call nurse called the Rx in to them. Stokes Pharmacy claimed that my Rx wasn't covered by my insurance, which I knew wasn't true. It was covered at 100%. However, I was desperate for one and went ahead and purchased it but told the lady I was going to get the Rx called in at another pharmacy since I knew insurance would pay. She told me that IF insurance paid at another pharmacy, then she would refund my money back on Monday. Rite Aid in Rural Hall gave me the meter and it was covered at 100% by insurance. I never did even open the meter from Stokes Pharmacy. On Monday 8/15/16, I called them to let them know I was going to bring it back and get my money back and they refused to give me a refund. When I explained the lady working there told me they would refund me which is the only reason I went ahead and paid for it, the Pharmacist said he would have a talk with the lady. I called back on Wednesday 8/17/16 to see if they had it straightened out and the Pharmacist (Mr. Kiser) was extremely rude and said yes they talked to the lady and told her to never do that again but that I was NOT getting a refund and then hung the phone up. This is the most unprofessional I have ever seen from a pharmacy. They are great as long as everything is going their way but BEWARE if you ever have an issue. Neither myself nor my family will ever do business with these people again.

I only use stokes and everyone is friendly, knows my name on sight, knows my car, and even knows my voice on the phone! They are even cheaper than Wal-Mart! I wouldn't go anywhere else.
