This vet is overpriced and downright misleading about costs associated with the services. The last time I visited he said the exam would be $45. He then carried out some tests, NEVER telling me there would be a cost or what it would be, and proceeded to charge me $155 when I checked out. For my appointment today I asked what the bordatella vaccine would cost and he said $18.00. When I checked out the receptionist said it would be $44.00! I told her the vet had said $18, and she said that did not include the tech exam for $22. All they did was weigh my dog! When I emphasized this was not the price I was told in the phone she said she had to charge me. I am NEVER returning to this vet. Why would anyone tell a client only PART of the cost when they ask how much it will be??

My dog has been a patient at this vet for about 7 months now since I got her from her rescue. I live a good distance away but the night I received her from the rescue she became dealthy ill( allthough THIS vet had given her a clean bill of health) I understand puppies from bad situations things happen. The rescue was wonderful and took her back to pay for her extended stay at this office. She came home on 6 different meds and became healthy. I then deciede to use this place because even though he is extremely overpriced( almost 500 for a spay) I thought I was paying towards the rescue and he had saved her life when another vet said she was as good as dead. I have taken her for every visit payed in cash in full. At the begining of this month she developed a lump on her hind leg. I was scared. We had just moved to a new home we bought and money was tight. I called explained my situation ( I wouldn't have a large sum of money up front if it was serious) made the appt then took her. he looked at it thought is wasn't cancerous but wanted to make sure. I had some concerns about her becoming increasingly filled with aniexty he blew that off to the breed( she is my 3rd pit I undrestand the breed) tested her leg said it was fine but hey lets cut the growth off. Ok of course if thats whats best for her I am in. I went to the front to make the appt and when they said 130 for that visit I handed over a hundred dollar bill and they acted like I shit on the floor. The girl with her wrinkled nose explained "we don't accept payments" I had been VERY CLEAR on the phone. She went back spoke to the Dr and informed me this one time my huge balance of 30 dollars ( I have spent over a 1000 in her short 7 months of life with them) would be accepted but now all the sudden the surgery wasn't as important as it was just a scant few minutes before unless I had the CASH for it. he then said it could be as much as 600 dollars to remove a non cancerous growth the size of a quarter. I said fine I would call and schedule it later when funds became available knowing that was the last time my dog would ever see him again. Less than 10 days later( even though I explained I would have the money at the end of the month when paid) I started receiving 1-2 phone calls a day for a week straight telling me I NEED to make payment arangements. REALLY??? They have lost a life long customer and patient over their unabashed greediness and willingness to put money before my dogs true health.
