Great Vet; though serious, he loves animals and their owners.
Reasonably priced would be an understatement, he's just not out to gouge anyone. The best Vet I've ever met. he's always taken great care of me and my pets

A no nonsense Vet & they won't referr that your pet has taken your last name. He has seen after five of my dogs, an I am thankful for his expertise. They are a great vet clinic. He knows what he is doing.

Dr. Will is to be an absolute idiot. Took my dog up there for multiple problems, did not know what was wrong with my dog at all. Took him to another vet, he found out what the problem was asap. Like I said before, I dont even know how or if this guy even has a vet. licences........

We have been going to another vet in Halifax, Va. for about 18 years with no problems. However, recently our 12 year old 30 lb. dog Lucy developed a cyst on the thinnest part of her leg, down near her ankle. We took her to our regular vet and they always take them into the back room to do everything, even though I have requested them to treat our dogs in the room where we are (I suppose they forgot, because it is so routine for them). As the vet tech was taking her out of the room we didn't say not to. We assumed she was being seen by the regular more experienced Vet. But instead she was examined by a new young (probably inexperienced) vet there. He did a fine needle aspiration at the site and looked at it under the microscope. He said it looked 'suspicious' and recommended removing it. We paid for that visit and tests, as well as got an itemized estimate of the pending surgery, as well as fees for cleaning her teeth while under anesthesia. The place where he inserted the needle ruptured and opened up, now much worse. We planned the surgery and when the regular experienced Vet saw it, he didn't want to do the surgery and had completely different recommendations that his young associate did. He did not want to perform the surgery because he said that there was doubt that he would be able to close or stitch it shut. So we were left with a now OPEN wound. He suggested referring her to a specialty hospital. "BIG MONEY!" We're retired and on a fixed income and simply had little options.
By calling around to other vets and shelters for help or recommendations, I was told by a nice lady at the Person County Animal Shelter in NC about "THE LOVE SHOP" and Dr. Will. I called his office late in the afternoon and the receptionist knew and used to work at the vets office we had always gone to, I remembered her from about 10 years ago. She had all of the paperwork and history of both our dogs faxed to The Love Shop. She made us an appointment for the very next afternoon. We hardly waited 10 minutes to be seen. Admittedly even Dr. Will was not eager to remove it, for the very same reason. However he said something needed to be done soon because it was open and rapidly growing. He hesitated in how to approach it, and explained everything thoroughly and how he would go about it. He reluctantly agreed to remove it. Here is another amazing fact, he asked if we could leave her there for him to stay and perform the surgery after hours that same night! He stayed there all night to do it and monitor her! We picked her up the next morning, she seemed just fine. He gave us 20 antibiotics for 10 days. I called today, it's day 10 to arrange a return visit to remove the stitches. I've changed the bandage several times and it looks wonderful. He explained to us when we picked her up that there was only a very small place he was unable to close. As it turned out, that is the same place where the other vet inverted the needle. He told us because of the seriousness of her leg he probably wouldn't attempt cleaning her teeth at this time. We said that fine, let's just do her leg. To our surprise he did clean her teeth and had to pull a couple. She had very bad breath before and now doesn't. We couldn't be more pleased with his services or prices. As we were leaving, I made an appointment to have our other little dog a Yorktese (Yorkie/ Maltese) spayed. I have to wait almost a full month. To me, that just goes to shows that Dr. WILL cared enough about Lucy's leg to stay over night to do her surgery the same night. By the way, remember that we had NEVER been there to him before. That's care and compassion right there. He didn't give us false hope either, and explained that this growth may come back and it probably is cancer. But at her age and unless we were willing to put her though chemo treatments that he saw no need to spend almost $200. to have it sent to pathology. So we agreed that if it does come back we will have it removed as soon as it is visible and of course hope and pray for the best results.

I'm so grateful we found him. Oh, I forgot to mention that we live 1 1/2 hours away. He is well worth the drive. And his price compared to the other place...1/4 the cost. We are happy, our dogs are happy. Thank you Dr. Will and staff.

I have been going to Dr.Will for about 4 years now. I have 6 cats and our dog which he cares for. I feel very comfortable taking my furry family members to him as I know I can trust him with their care. He is very caring and takes the time to talk to you. His prices are also very reasonable. He does on occasion get very busy, but the wait isn't bad, and there is a nice grassy area outside to walk the dogs. I would deffinatley recomend this clinic.
