I recently took my dog Sadie to this office on Tuesday 1/26/2021 last week as Sadie was inactive and not herself. Vet treated her for an eye infection and released her ananl glands. Sent her home with meds and antibiotics. Sadie's continued to get worse and started vomiting we took her bacj on Friday 1/29/2021 for a follow-up visit and he checked her over and went to send us home but when I mentioned she had been vomiting since giving the meds he said stop all food for 24 hours and start her on a bland diet she was barely walking at this point, but he made me feel like she would be fine. Sadie was worse the next day could not stand on her feet and did not move on her own at all. By the time I tried to start the bland diet she was not interested in any food or water and barely moving or responding. There was no vet local open for emergencies on the weekend and I drove her 2 hours to Rochester to been seen by emergency facility there (number gotten from voice-mail at this office) they did an ultrasound and blood work and said she was too sick she was in kidney failure and there was nothing they could do and best option was to have her put to sleep which we did. My complaint for this office in Hornell is how did they not realize she was that sick and save her from suffering and us from a huge bill. Now my dog is gone 😢 my shock in tablee loss of my baby girl is undescribable. I am so frustrated she suffered and feel the locl office should have done blod work on the 1st vist. I am so disappointed and lost for words. But feel this local office should have known how sick she was. The Rochester emergency vet we went to was amazing and handled her with such love and compassion for her and us as we were grief sticken. I even received a sympathy card from them last night.

This office is high priced and not real clean. Care more about billing and getting paid than the care of your pet.

No, he/she seemed very calm and not in a rush to see the next pet

My puppy died in their hospital. I took him there for neutering and after they gave him anesthesia, he stopped breathing and his heart stopped. They said they had gone though some physical tests before the surgery, however, I really doubt on their procedures. Please please don't visit this hospital unless you have some minor problems, they can't handle big things!

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. The office was easy enough to find. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed.

They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important. When I arrived for my appointment the friendly staff seemed to be waiting for me. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. I was very impressed. Wow is all I can say about them. I have seen some vets become callused and unemotional but you will not find that here. The veterinarian and staff are extremely friendly and treat pets as if they are a part of the family. I could really tell how much they love animals. They had quite a few interesting magazines, which made my time in the waiting room go by much faster.
