They had a huge selection of magazines in the waiting room. I was able to find some of my favorites and they kept me entertained while I was waiting for my appointment. The examining rooms at Birch Lake Animal Hospital's office were immaculate. You could practically eat of the floor if you wanted to. There were no bad smells and everything seemed really sterile. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I never had to doubt their qualifications. They made their credentials completely obvious, which made me feel a lot safer. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice.

I was told no postdated checks, I can understand that if I was new to the clinic,but I had been bringing my pets there for years always paid right away. My 15 yr old cat was very sick and needed help right away. I asked to write a check postdated for 3 days from now, they refused to see him. Everything I told them seemed to go in one ear and out the other. I didn't feel like they cared about what I had to say at all. I took him to Lake Animal hospital and was so relived at the understanding and compassion there.

Unbelievabley gentle, it is very apparant they truly care about pets well-being and comfort

Never! They have lots of business, but they do such a great job of never overbooking.
Did you have to wait long after you arrived for your appointment?
No, they were ready for me right after I arrived.

The vets (especially the men) are not particularly gentle w/ the animals, don't seem to care how stressed they are or how they feel. Years ago one young female vet, while trying to draw blood from my cat's leg, said to a vet tech, right in front of me, that she wished she could just clip a nail too short! That would be extremely painful and scary for my poor cat! NOT my favorite clinic.
