I go to Dr. Reed because of his straight forward answers and his love of animals. He always answers my questions and treats my cat and dog well. He also has the most reasonable prices of any of the vets in the area. I drive 20 minutes just to see him when I could go 6 different places within 5 minutes of my house. I will tell you that the ladies at the front desk have the worst attitudes. I know they are busy, so I try to be as nice and patient as possible, but it is never reciprocated. But they're not the ones who diagnose and care for my animals. A different vet told me I needed to pay hundreds of dollars for my cat to have a mole removed. Dr. Reed looked at it and said he would monitor it, but it wasn't causing my cat any pain and didn't go below the skin, so why put him through surgery. When I brought my rescued dog home, he had terrible stomach problems. Dr. Reed and the others at the office got me in multiple times last minute, helped me over the phone, helped me with a diet plan for him, and only ever charged me for the first appointment. Every time after that I was only charged for his medication. I do usually wait way past my appointment time, but Dr. Reed is worth it.

They always have an immediate answer for me when I call with a question. I have never felt pressure to make an appointment unless I really needed one. They are polite and courteous. As far as boarding facilities go, I have only boarded hear when my dogs needed to be under the doctor's care. They were bathed before coming home. They try to make pets feel as safe and comfortable as possible. I was left in the appointment room by myself, but hey this is a doctor's office! The wait is never too long but because he accepts alot of emergency cases that can get priority it's understandable and usually not a problem. I had one puppy come down with Parvo and between the care at the Purdue emergency clinic and Dr. Reed's care the puppy came through just fine. Dr. Reed and whole staff showed a great deal of care and compassion. One last point, my daughter had to take care of the class turtle over winter break and the turtle looked "fuzzy" so we took it to Dr. Reed without an appoinment. He gave the turtle a once over and determined it was only shedding - nothing to worry about and there was no charge! He sent us hoem with some feeding advise and food for the turle as well.

No! They took my terrified pet to a different room and wouldn't allow me go

I absolutely love Dr. Reed and the staff at Westchester. He is so caring and you can just tell that his heart is with these animals. My dogs have gone to him for years and we've never had anything other than excellent care and results. My canary was ill...they kept him there and did everything they could to save him. Sadly, he died. They were so kind and compassionate...They realize that these are our "babies" and I HIGHLY recommend them.

brought two of my loving, femalle cats to get fixed. They both came back with a horible cough and with nasal drainage. They both mysteriously died within a year. They were only one and three years of age. My girlfriend brought in in cat for the same thing during the same time frame. Same thing happened. What the heck were our cats exposed to there?
