Back in the days when Christina was around (one of the managers) this was my go to hair place. She had the best blowdrying skills ever. I got so addicted to her blow dries I was tempted to go in every week and get it done. Since then, I returned once to get my first (and definitely last) hair coloring there because Aliyah totally ruined my hair. This was the first and last time my hair was damaged from coloring and it's been a year since then and I've lost a tons and tons of hair to breakage from getting tangled to the dry hair. This is after generous and deep conditioner use of the Matrix Biolage line, coconut oil etc. treatment and my hair didn't get any better over 13 months since the misshap. This was the first time Redken product was being used on me (my previous colors had been with the Matrix Colorinsider) and it had been several months since my last color at the time of the appointment. I don't have any known chemical sensivities either.

After a year had passed without any improvement, I went to Hair Cuttery to complain about Aliyah's work on me, and they didn't hold her accountable just brushed it off. Instead they convinced me to get a wash cut and blow dry with a conditioner product they wanted me to purchase at the end of the treatment and go home with it. I also asked them to cut off the damaged hair portion since it was all in the inner/neck areas and thus wouldn't look visibly bad, they just gave me a regular haircut and didn't get rid of the damaged hair at all! So I go to complain and instead of solving my problem, I am made to spend more money at the store! I bought the product but it made no difference.

Eventually after 13 months of not getting anywhere and losing so much time energy and hair over this, I cut off all that damaged hair at home two days ago on a whim and out of deep anger and frustration. My hair looks all uneven now since I am not even good with scissors, let alone cutting my hair with it, but it looks so much healthier that within 24 hours following my outburst, I started getting hair compliments! Like wow, imagine how much crap that damaged hair contributed to my looks. Finally, I am so traumatized that I don't think I can ever get a professional coloring done again (my damaged hair had also stopped growing).
