STUCK in the 1980's. I went to get a highlight. Nothing new, as I have been having highlights for many years. The stylist tried to use a "European cap" -- which was the same old cap that stylists used in the 1960's-1980's before the advent of foil highlights. The salon owner had told her that this cap was the way to highlight. When I saw the owner's hairstyle, I understood. However, when I objected a few times - as I hate being poked - she did the foil work. The stylist was pleasant, but very slow. It took me 2 1/4 hours to have a highlight done on very short hair. Despite that, the young woman was good, and when she returns to her "regular salon", I would seek her out.

In addition to the "European cap" (new name, same old 1980's cap), the hair washing chairs are also stuck in the 1980's -- literally. The chairs do not slide/glide/move. So the patron must perch on the edge of the seat and lean back to get her head in the sink. Not comfy at all.

Top this off, the salon owner was very, very rude. She was horrid! She yelled at me because she thought I made a face at her! She kept yelling until I was screaming, "Leave me alone" -- it took about 8 screams for her to stop berating me. I have never had this happen anywhere and I am in my 60's.

Old decor, horrid shampoo facilities, a bathroom door that doesn't close and opens into the salon, and a rude 1980's owner, ya' think I will go back?
