The staff is always considerate and concerned for my well-being. Any advice I get comes directly from the doctor. The staff simply accommodates my needs. . When I had an emergency, they worked me into the schedule immediately. Whenever I make an appointment, I'm always confident that they're going to be ready for me at my scheduled time. I have been seeing this doctor for years. She understands my needs and my schedule, and she is excellent at explaining medical issues.

Stay far away from Dr. Melissa Smith and her parent company, Capitol Foot and Ankle, LLC. Dr. Smith and all the employees that work in her office are absolute sheep in wolves' clothing. She came across as real nice and sweet until billing time came when she speciously and underhandedly charged me for services which she did not provide. I went to her three times in order to have a simple plantar's wart removed. I was in her office no more that 15 minutes during each visit, of which she spent 10 minutes gabbing about this or that. Nevertheless, rather than code my visit as merely "office visits," Dr. Smith took it upon herself to code my visit as "lesion removal." Of course, this caused these simple visits to tap into my health insurance deductible. And, of course, this begs the question, "If Dr. Smith really performed "lesion removal," why would I have to return for multiple visits? When I called her office and the billing department at Capitol Foot and Ankle, a lady named Pam was one of the rudest, most inconsiderate reps. I have ever dealt with. She made me feel about an inch tall for asking questions about my bill. To add insult to injury, she even had the nerve to assert that I was "lucky" for being in the Army and under the military's health care system. That was when I wife got involved, and Pam spoke to my wife in the same perjorative fashion.

These transgresssions make Dr. Smith's tardiness seem minor, but if you're not yetconvinced to go to another podiatrist, I should mention that she was 45 minutes late for one of my appointments, and it wasn't because she was with other patients. I always scheduled the first appointment of the day at 8:00 AM. Dr. Smith didn't show up until 8:45 AM. Perhaps she overslept. Of course, I was late for work as a result of her wanton tardiness.

Needless to say, Dr. Smith and Capitol Foot and Ankle, LLC really put the "care" in healthcare.
