This place is ridiculous! My mother went there post op. Was supposed to be for 3 weeks to get her back on her feet. Her health was great when she got there but has steadily declined during their care. Now we find out today she has Pneumonia and c-diff. And none of the moron's who work here even noticed her failing health! It took me and my sister to tell them something was wrong. My mother had to appetite, no energy and only wanted to sleep all the time. Today they realized she was running a fever and finally decided to figure out why....she has seen the Dr who is supposed to be caring for her only one time in a month, and she has to remind the nursing staff and aides about her medication's and treatments. She would have been 100% better off to have gone home and taken care of herself then to be at this JOKE of a facility!

This review site is ridiculous and does not pertain to this type of business at all. This skilled nursing home does not have a " waiting room", you go there to visit with your loved one. They also don't require an "appointment" and welcome you to visit whenever you are available. The therapy staff are an incredibly upbeat and funny group of folks who make therapy fun and often residents who don't even have therapy go down to the therapy room because they are always welcome and treated so well. And they helped my grampa get stronger and be able to get home again. The only thing I would like to suggest is that they have more CNA staff on duty. The poor things always seem to be run ragged. Overall, I am grateful for the Laurels staff for helping my grampa get back home.

Every time I come here they always remember me by name and greet me as soon as I walk in the door, even if it's been months since my last visit. They are so thoughtful and amazingly sweet, I just love this place. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations.

My great uncle lived here for awile and it almost killed him. This place is like a concentration camp, he was forced to stay in his chair or lay in bed even though he could walk. Because he was forced to stay laying or sitting for so long he developed a huge bed sore on his butt. Due to neglect the huge bed sore got infected and once he got to the hospital they thought they would have to amputate, thankfuly they only had to remove his buttcheek and most of the muscles in his leg. On top of all of this the staff at the hospital he went to said he was so malnourished he was eating his own skin and then after it scabbed over eating the scabbs. this is a horrible place, its always being investigated for cruelty/neglect. im not sure why it hasnt been shut down yet.
