My mother lived there for a little over a year and had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance several times due to dehydration. They NEVER gave her water. I had to ask for it every time I went to visit. Although she had dementia and couldn't remember to sometimes drink, they never offered her water and just ignored the fact that she was slowly dying from lack of fluids. I do not trust these people or this place. I would never recommend it to anyone!

When visiting a relative we always noticed they had no water and always asked for water,the patient had to be put on IV for dehydration.We noticed complete confusion concerning medications and Dr orders. Food ok cleanliness ok .Nurses aid seem to be kind. LPN s we have noticed on their cell phones alot while on duty.

This provider was a great facility 2 years ago. When the original administrator left, the quality of care declined and continues to decline. Praying the new administrator can clean up the mess. Feeling very uncomfortable with the care being provided currently.

We were referred to the Lakes by a hospital caseworker in feb 2012, and told there was a new administrator there with a great reputation in OKC. The first 2 weeks went pretty well. The OT and PT staff were very sharp and some aides were quite attentive and truly cared for the residents. Others I didn't trust to care for my bedridden parent properly - such as ensuring the correct liquids (thickened) were delivered and was sitting up (and not on one side) to safely swallow them. While one nurse was helpful and attentive, others did the minimum. The overall problem seemed to be lack of teamwork. Everyone appeared to do only their own job, while complaining or gossiping about other individuals/departments - in front of residents and family members. The food selection was very limited and unappetizing - the same 5 entree choices given at lunch and dinner for a month at a time. The last straw came when my parent had a fever over 102 degrees on a saturday and the nurse said to wait until the doctor came Monday. Instead we went to the ER and did not return to the Lakes.
