On August 28th I sent a check in for $1000.00 deposit to look @ a cottage for my sister and was told that the check would not be cashed until my sister made a decision.
On September 9th while checking my bank statement, I noticed the check was cashed. I then called, Teresa Perkowski to find out why and I was told by her that it was an "error". On September 27th, my sister & I met with Teresa and looked at the cottage. After a long conversation with Teresa, my sister decided that although the place was very nice, it was just too small for her and the did not take the cottage. Teresa then told us that the check would be returned to us within two weeks. As of this date (11-14-16), and phone calls to Teresa, I have NOT received my check. This is unacceptable! Therefore I will see legal council to rectify this problem.

had good care on one short stay, then on second short stay had really really bad experience. the staff don't look at residents I had to pull him out. and put elsewhere. and wasn't happy with the other nursing home either. I wish the workers would treat the residents as if they were their own family members. please try to take care of your loved one at home. these nursing homes must change. I was in fear of my loved one health and well being while he was here!

Iam trying to relocate my mother up here from nj and was looking in to saint lukes I have been reading the reviews and I must say they werent very good the latest was from 2012 are there any newer ones very concerned about this place.

Not really, but I found a spot
Did the staff at this senior care facility ever take personal phone calls when they were supposed to be helping you?
No, they've never taken personal calls with me

BEWARE! I just received a letter today, Christmas Eve, that someone at St. Luke's Nursing Home in Hazleton, PA tried to register my deceased mother to vote the day after her death. She passed on 12/15/13 and her application was dated 12/16/13. My mother was Judge of Elections for at least 10 years, knew the in's and out's of running elections and was always registered to vote in Schuylkill County. She told me back in October she was harassed into requesting an absentee ballot while she was a guest at St. Luke's and now some jackass used her name, date of birth and Social Security number to submit a voter registration form for Luzerne County. She was released from St. Luke's back in November. I'm upset and extremely pissed off and I will not give up until I get the full attention this fraud deserves. Someone just got caught with their pants down and committed FRAUD! Is this how they are going to try and get another IDIOT elected president? Merry Christmas CHEATER!

I wish I'd have never put my mother there. Instead of rehab she was neglected daily. Horrible place for a loved one. One wing has the nastiest rudest nurses I have ever seen. My mother lost so much weight in a short period of time , got a bedsore, and was left to sit all day. I was actually told by an LPN there that because it took two people to walk her to the bathroom it was better to just change her. She was there to walk again. But instead they did nothing. I would never recommend this horrible place to anyone for any kind of rehabilitation.
