The nurses are great and it's obvious they care about their patients. They do a great job. I have three family members there.

Where did all the quality workers go? The Executive Director there must have gotten rid of all the administrative high ranked people and now the ambiance is terrible. There is one thin lady that says she is the "boss" and goes around arguing with people and this place was not anything this bad when Ken was there.

As another professional stand point, Carla, the Administrative Direction has torn the place apart. When C.J. Henson started as the DON and Ken was the A.D., this dramatically improved. After Carla Brown took over, the whole place is going down hill due to her felling, it is my way or the highway. Consulate needs to do something about this. As a physician, I have never seen an administrator get so obnoxious and dramatic.

This place is horrible. From a professional stand point they treat the staff horrible. The girls are always trying to get everything done with the patients and they are completely understaffed. One of the GNA's was talking to my mother (Renee) about the supervisors and the Director and how they are so mean and rude. They didn't have hot water for about 1 month to give the patients a bath!! They have some great people working there that care for the patients however, the Director (Carla) is rude, unprofessional, and completely out of line.
They have left patients soiled causing soars on their skin and private areas. They have left patients waiting to go to the restroom until they soil themselves. That is completely unacceptable!! The Director should be fired and this place should be shut down immediately. One of the maintenance men was smoking pot in the facility and still works for Reeders. The staff was talking about it in my mothers room. The staff talks on their cell phones, treat the patients like garbage and the Director thinks that she walks on water! This is a horrible place to put your loved ones. I moved my mother out of there because of the lack of care and professionalism.

I worked at "Reeders Memorial Home" as a Travel Nurse the end of July through September 2014. I felt the "Nursing Staff" was excellent, caring, hard working, professional, going beyond what is expected of them, giving proper Nursing Care. I worked on Lincoln Terrace, the Nurse Manager, Pat was excellent at Teaching, patience, knowledge and direction of her staff members. The day shift, Primary Nurse Lindsey, is one of the best Nurses, I have ever worked with since 1986. The GNA's, Peaches and Juanita, are so caring and work always in the best interest of the Patient's. I must say, I would put my Parents, in Reeders Memorial Home for Rehab or Long Term Care. I want to thank all the wonderful Nurses and GNA's, for helping me and making my job easier. Special attention, to Alissa (Agency Nurse) who is a very a special Nurse, she shows the Patient's love and respect, but is very task oriented and performs her Nursing Duties proficiently.

Reeders is probably one of THEE WORST places you can bring your loved ones. They are understaffed because management is HORRIBLE. They hire agency nurses to work because the regular staff has either quit or went part time. There is NO continuity!!!! The ratio of patients to staff is unlawful. At times you have 31 patients to ONE... Yes 1 Gna!!! Think about that... Now ask yourself is my loved one being properly taken care of. Patients will sit in soiled briefs/clothes for HOURS!!! Skin breakdown is the normal and usually not even documented. I suggest pop up visits often. This place should really be shut down, I'm not sure why the state hasn't taken over. They're even admitting homeless patients just for revenue!!!! I would suggest hiring a visiting nurse or aide and keep your family at home. Everything I have stated here is FACTS!!!
