Horrible place. Staff is a joke. Dirty . Director is never there or so they say. They are directly responsible for killing my father. He went from the best rehab in the country(Sheperd Spinal Center) to recover from surgery at providence... They were given written instructions phone calls and even an offer of FREE TRAINING! They paid no attention to any of it. His surgery sounds have opened from LACK OF CARE AT PROVIDENCE. My father is now going to hospice thanks to this horrid place. He was supposed to go back to Shepherd for more care and rehab.They care nothing for patients.They never clean...The food is horrible and cheap and sparse. They DO sit around and talk and laugh obnoxiously loud. They resent being reminded of something not done. Never send your loved one to this house of horrors . I hope they are closed down. This administrator has some answering to do....SHUT THIS HOUSE OF HORRORS DOWN!!!!!!

When my Aunt, Molly Grace Greene Harp, moved there earlier this year she was a very lonely & sad soul. You could see it in her countenance. Today, She is a Very Lovely & Happy Soul, thanks to the Awesome, Amazing, Loving, Caring, Kind, Compassionate & Super Staff of "Providence Nursing Home"! People, just like the residents of Provident Nursing Home, who truly live out what it means to be the hands, feet, & heart of Jesus! My Family, & I'm sure that the many other Families represented by the Residents there would agree, is "Blessed Beyond Measure", by Your genuine concern for our, "Aunt Molly", & all of the "Awesome Residents" who call, "Providence Nursing Home", "Their Home"! Ya'll "Rock"! I wish there was a rating option for at least 100 Stars, because that is what I would choose, & what Ya'll deserve! Again, A Heartfelt, "Thank You"! Stan Greene

My grandmother passed away from there Thanksgiving of 2013. This company has failed to return the trust fund account within the 30 day limit. As of 11/24/14 they still cannot locate all the proper records and now went through a buy out and now say that they are not responsible. Now its time for a lawyer, and hopefully channel 2 news to help. I have been told there are alot more out there getting the same run around

Had a family member at Providence Health Care in Thomaston, Ga. I was immediately told "we do not allow sitters with patients at night."

I was never told by Providence staff what poor condition my family member was in. I was told by someone outside the facility that we should probably call in Hospice. When I asked Providence staff about Hospice, they admitted they had done all they could do for my family member. Why had they not told me?

As I was inquiring about Hospice care, I was told by Providence Staff that they do not allow our local Thomaston Hospice personnel to service patients in their facility. Before I was able to complete paperwork in order to secure Hospice services from an angency out of town, my family member died.

Some folks are working as hard as they can to over compensate for those that just don't have the drive or the intellect to do so. Patients are left unattended many times sitting in urine or feces in the front hallway for at least an hour! It is reported and adminstration says it will be taken care of but that is just to appease the complainant. The kicker for many of us: when the power went off due to a storm a couple of weeks ago, the patients/residents went with out power, oxygen, etc from 2-7 pm. All in the name of capitalism and no care for the sanctity of life......
