The OT staff is great and the rest of the staff are nice but they are completely under staffed .
They are NOT able to keep up with even weekly bathing or changing the sheets weekly .
The meals are a strange mix - some great & some horrible .
All of the staff including housekeeping wear the same scrubs so they look like medical staff but most are Not . ( most are student aides whose only skill is refilling the water bottle or delivering a meal )
It is very confusing because the patient and family ask medical questions but the person is usually an aide who never knows the answer and is rarely able to get someone who does .
Unfortunately there are very few choices in this part of the state and None of them seem good .
I suspect anyone with money will take their family elsewhere .

I withdrew my husband after only 24 hrs of him being in there. He had fallen out of bed, had his catheter removed, and no one had called me nor the hospice service to inform us, even tho they had specifically directed to do so anytime day or night. I felt beyond terrible for taking him to Parkdale. + The food was horrible! If you care, even in the remotest, do not take your loved one to Parkdale. And this is after the 'new management' had taken it over.I never even got a call from the 'New management" even though everything that happened to my husband was supposedly reported to 'higher ups' I would not recommend it for anyone.

When I went to visit my mother and gentleman across the hallway was on the floor yelling for help as loud as he could. His voice was faint, but I could here him as I walked down the hall. I looked into his room and he had pushed his button but was getting no response. This gentleman had fallen and could not get up. The nurse was notified with his call button but did not respond. I went to the front desk and told them he was on the floor, and she said, "I will get to him in a minute." I said, "NO! He needs help now, so get down there now!" She got up from her chair and went to help him.
When someone is in need of help and they are paying a damn good price for their care and they do not get it then something is WRONG WITH THE CARE CENTER!
