Terrible place. Unprofessional. Lacing in the attention and care of it's patients. My father went in for surgical rehabilitation. They couldn't even care for the wound. Bad place!!! Can't get my father out of there soon enough.

I was very impressed with the care and professionalism of all the therapists and nurses who were involved with my care. I also found all the CNA'S who were assigned to me to be very competent and caring. Overall if you have to be in a facility such as this it was outstanding in its positive approach to the clients.

My Dad has (unfortunately) needed rehabilitation services a number of times. With the exception of once, my Dad has stayed at Manorcare. The staff at Manorcare provided my Dad with exceptional care and each time helped him improve and return to Assisted Living. On the one occasion when my Dad didn't stay at Manorcare, the facility gave up on trying to help my Dad overcome a swallowing disorder following surgery. The other facility said he would always need a feeding tube; there was nothing else they could do. Well I didn't give up on my Dad and so I transferred him to Manorcare and they didn't give up on him either. When my Dad left Manorcare the feeding tube was gone and he was eating solid food. That was two years ago. The staff there care about the residents and work hard to help them achieve the best they can. Hopefully, Dad won't need rehab services again but if he does, Manorcare is the place.

I enjoyed my stays at ManorCare Boulder for both myself and my wife. we were satisfied 100%. I was most impressed by the hardworking CNA's. As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff who always remembers me. They went out of their way to make me feel special and appreciated. They really go above and beyond to make me feel special. I've never been anywhere that seems to care more about their Patients than here.

In July of 2009 my mother went into ManorCare in Boulder. She improved greatly due to the care and attention that was given by the nurses and CNA's in that unit. They were wonderful!. Then last October of 2011 ManorCare changed ownership. They busted up the Altzheimer Unit so they could make more money using that area for Rehab. They spread out those patients and nurses so everything was different. My mother died within one week after the move. I witnessed for myself how greatly understaffed they were. I saw for myself how hard the nurses and CNAs worked. The nurses I know didn't get breaks or lunches due to being understaffed. My mother was moved to a new room and fell. She was sent to the hospital as the nurses who knew her had been moved to other areas. The doctor at Avista was very upset with them for sending her there as there was no reason for it. The doctor at Avista made them come up with a care plan for her before they would allow her to go back. My Mom died to the fact that she was moved to a room that was completely opposite of the room she was in and it was difficult for her to find her way in her room and bathroom. She declined and died within a week of being moved,
This in no way reflects the care of the nurses and CNAs as they are greatly understaffed. This reflects the decisions of the people who took over ManorCare.
Do not send your loved one there. They do NOT CARE about their patients or staff. It is all about making a buck.
That last week was a nightmare. What I saw made me realize I would rather die then be put in that place.
