My friend fell and broke her hip and has dislocated shoulder that she is unable to move. Seven days ago she had surgery for partial hip replacement. Yesterday she was transferred to Manorcare in Yeadon. We are currently trying to get her transferred out to a good rehab facility where she will receive the care she needs in order to gain full recovery. Last night, her first night there, she had to go to the bathroom, kept hitting the buzzer for help, no one came for some time - help arrived way too late and she ended up going to the bathroom in her bed. This did not happen once, but twice, in one night. The second time, the caretaker assigned to her room actually yelled at her for going in the bed. First, she is scared, in pain, unable to care for herself at this time and then she has to suffer emotional humiliation to boot. Excuse me, but what is wrong with this picture. This morning someone came in, sat her down to get dressed and left the room. Excuse me - hip surgery, dislocated shoulder - how are you expected to get yourself dressed!!! Obviously they do not hire competent people to work with folks who really need special care. This is disgraceful! I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone.

They deserve no stars. This place has the most heartless and unprofessional staff. They are unsanitary and are mean to patients. The dining staff is disgusting and rude. They make it clear that they do not care what the patient wants to eat and will actually say this! They will leave your loved one sitting in mess for hours and laugh when they ask to be changed. This place takes advantage of people who cannot help themselves.

Manor Care on Lansdowne Ave is not a good facality; they did not take good care of my mother. they did not change her often enough; she developed a severe uninary track infection and they delayed hospitilizing her. She died five weeks ater. This place must improve.
