DO NOT TAKE YOUR ELDERS THERE. THE STAFF STEALS AND THE CASE WORKERS ALL LIE. IF YOU HAVE LINDSEY, YOU'RE DOOMED. ALL ABOUT THE MONEY THERE

The staff is friendly to get you in but care if lacking. If you complain they smile as if they are going to help but nothing changes. The patient rooms are filthy and adequate care is not given. I am also concerned with ethical practices of this facility and will report it to the state. Charge nurse is not friendly and blames family and elderly patient for lack of care. The billing specialist lacks professionalism and her unethical responses pose a legal liability to the corporation.

I have a comment. To all of the family members who complain....nurses and Assistants are trying their best and are very over worked in all nursing homes. I challenge all of you to care for your loved ones at home for one month. Your loved one is in a nursing home because you could not do the job. The State of Michigan mandates the staffing ratios.

The aides are useless with the exception of a Ms. Green, while my husband was there she was the only one who treated him correctly. If she was on duty, he was cleaned, bathed and dressed and ready for his therapy. When she wasn't there he would lay in a soiled diaper (he was unable to stand on his own because he was so weak from surgery and long confinement)for hours. I would beg an aide to tend to him and all I got was "in just a minute". In the end, he developed a cough and Nebel ( don't know the correct spelling) sia I couldn't give him any cough medicine because the Dr. ( He is another story/nightmare) wouldn't allow it. As far a I know the Dr. wasn't informed, so my husband was put on oxygen for days. On Easter when I visited him I said he wasn't ok and I wanted him taken to the Hospital. He was taken to Beaumont Royal Oak and the found he had a collapsed lung and pneumonia. I should the Lung Specialist a copy of a report that the X-ray company sent to the nursing home about 4-5 days earlier and I asked him if this report indicates the hospitals diagnosis and he said yes. So , did anyone at the nursing home bother to read the report or did they not understand what they read? They were unable to get my husbands lung to inflate, he developed serious kidney problems and had to have a lot of dialysis. He had had 5 stints done at Henry Ford Detroit and they said he needed temporary dialysis (about 3 treatments) so the case manager at Henry Ford insisted that he had to go to a nursing home that would transport him to the hospital. She chose Lasher Hills in Southfield, I informed her that our home was in Chesterfield, She didn't care! My husband died on May 4th 2015. I'm very bitter over the lack of care he received a Lasher Hills and the indifference of the case manager at Henry Ford as I told Henry Ford in an inquiry I received asking how I rated his care, I wasn't sure if she was on their (Henry Ford) payroll or the nursing homes. I asked about the Dr. on the nursing homes payroll who said he was a Beaumont Dr., but nobody at Beaumont ever heard of him. I hope will forgive some of my spelling of some of the terms but, the male nurse's name is pretty accurate, maybe not perfect but close, he always seemed very indifferent.
