These questions are stupid. The bottom line is you would have to be some kind of heartless animal to put one of your parents here. I just visited an aunt and the mom of a cousin there and I am heartbroken. I am traumatized over what I saw tonight. It is very sad. If that is the care they give when a family member is there visiting, I hate to see what happens when we are not there. My poor aunt was thrashing around so uncomfortable with a loaded diaper forever. Three times I had to go out to please have someone come change her. They were very unsympathetic and the only nurse aid on the floor told me she was supposed to be on guard (just sitting in a chair keeping two old folks company in a lounge area) until 7pm. (It was 6:45 by then) and that not until then could she go check on her. My poor aunt is not in condition to defend herself or call out for help, though it wouldn't matter because just walking the halls I heard old people crying out for someone and no one would check on them. I was compelled to go into one where where lady was in a dark room saying, "Senorita!" I came in and asked her if she needed help and she kindly said in Spanish, "Please, could you ask someone to come change my diaper." I told a staff member and they told me not to listen to her, that that "old lady" is always talking gibberish. The rooms are so unpersonable. I brought a pic of my aunt when she was young but there was no where to put it. I wanted to give her room a personal touch so the staff would know she is a human being, but you will not see any of that there, just an old person thrown on a bed with a brown table next to them...no where to put a stuffed animal or a picture or anything. I am so sad. Unfortunately, some people just want to be able to just live their lives not worrying about their parents, so they just want to believe the "sales pitch." This place doesn't deserve even one star.

No, I'm always worried they're going to settle with a solution that isn't the best

Not very well. I had to really look for it before I found it.

Not at all, they seemed stuck in the past

Not at all! I had to schedule an appointment for absolutely everything!
Has this provider ever cancelled your appointment on you last minute?
Never, they are very reliable.

When I told them about my situation, they were somewhat understanding, but they could have been more caring. They didn't try very hard to understand where I was coming from. My mother in law is completely dependent for help and they always made her wait to have her diaper changed or brought to the toilet. It never fails how long I have to wait on hold when I call them. I'm always put on hold forever and I find myself not even wanting to call. Remembering clients by name is not a very big concern for the staff here because every time I come in for an appointment I constantly have to remind them who I am. I was not able to relax during my visits there. It was always loud and the outside patio always messy and dirty. It's really difficult to visit your family member and find a quite place to talk. No techs are ever present when you go outside and that makes me very nervous. Overall, not the worst, but I've seen a little better. As always family and friends have to show their face. Make sure they know you are paying attention to your loved ones wellbeing.
