Fantastic place for senior citizens who need extra help. It is clean and has good food. My physical therapist, Rakesh, has been so helpful with my recovery. My OT is genuine and does everything she can do to help me. I came to Heartland West Bloomfield to get well and go back home and am doing just that.

The nurses need to have their license checked. They do not listen to family members or request. My father was not eating when we spoke to the nurse only reply we get was we put note in chart.. he did not have a bm in three days. Note in chart. He had a uti. We will tell the doctor. He was dehydrated we will note the chart. We transferred him out 21 days of being there. The day he was transfer was a day to late he was rush to the hospital by the rehabilitation facility we transferred him to due to his sodium was 168 and severe dehydration which cause kidney failure he died a week later.

Some of the CNA's are downright ABUSIVE!!!!! HORRIFIC upper management looks the other way while the patients are ignored in terrible situations.

While analysis and scrutiny of any facility would reveal deficits, the staff at this rehabilatation center were caring and friendly. My Father suffers from dementia, so trustworthy and dedicated personnel are essential to his daily care. The care provided at Heartland--West Bloomfield was very acceptable.

Don't take an elderly family member here for rehabilitation. My 94 yr old mother was there for 2 weeks for physical therapy with a broken hip. My sister would visit 2x daily and every time she would find mom in a wet diaper (she's continence), she fell out of her wheelchair because they left her sitting in her room, by herself, for over 2 hours. Mom got tired and tried to get to the bed and fell. The nurses, cna's are never friendly, never say "hi" while you are walking down the hallway; we had a meeting set up by the head nurse and she didn't even have my mother's file on her desk, let alone the 5 items that we requested. My mom is not hi-maintenance she just needed TLC. It may look good on the outside but the staff is rude, non-compassionate, non-friendly, and they don't care!!! (There was one male person who was the only person that cared about my mom and he worked the afternoon shift.)

Worst nursing home around. Don't go there!!! Administration hides in their office. What staff? There isn/t any. They stand at the desk and visit with each other.
