The staff at Heartland were wonderful. The administration was most helpful in answering my questions regarding my mother's care, options that were available. Many thanks to Faye in the business office, she was so friendly and helpful. The nursing staff and patient care staff were wonderful. They treated my mother like a queen. They were so friendly and very pleasant. They kept me up to date regarding my mothers condition. Christina was so nice, visiting my mother and making sure that she was well taken care of and happy. The therapy group worked had to get my mother able to return to her apartment. I cannot say enough great things about our experience at Heartland. I would recommend this facility to everyone.

i was placed in this nursing home for short term rehab. The food was inedible, I was not given an opportunity for even a bath or shower and the vast majority of my medication, particularly those that were critical never arrived. When I had had enough and attempted to leave, I was physically restrained and found that I was on a locked floor. I escaped by making such a racket that I was finally offered the opportunity to sign papers that I was leaving against medical advise. Still, it took much finesse to get out and even then they called the police and attempted to have me involuntarily returned by the officers involoved. Instead the police facilitated a return to my home. I have filed a report and the police have advised me that I can file assault charges as I was grabbed and restrained by a group of about 12 employees. I am still deciding on this matter.

I plan on telling everyone I know about how terrible this nursing home is. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I reported them to the Texas Department of Aging and Disability and they investigated, but could not substantiate my claim. My father-in-law's g-tube feeding was withheld for six days. They thought there was a problem, but that was not found. Still, no matter what, you don't STARVE someone for six days. The nurse called my mother-in-law the first day of the so called problem at 7:00 a.m. and told her an x-ray was being ordered AND THAT HE HAS MESSED ALL OVER HIMSELF BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO CLEAN HIM UP. Please, do not put anyone in this place! I plead with you. I'm going to use every legal method I can to spread the word against Heartland.

As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make me feel special and appreciated. I love how attentive they are here. Their full attention was always on me making me feel special. It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important.

They didn't display their qualifications. It made me nervous. Don't call this provider if you're in a hurry. Every time I call I have to wait on hold forever. I think I got a gray hair the last time I was waiting. They don't treat their clients equally at all, and only make time for their favorite clients. If they didn't like me, they didn't make time for me. It was not easy to reach them in an emergency. I had to call several times before I finally reached them. I definitely don't trust their advice. They're only concerned about themselves.
