My sister-in- law was in the assisted living area when her health started to decline. After a short hospitalization she entered the NH of Gateway.
She entered without bedsores but within a month she had a decubitus ulcer on her butt large enough to insert you fist (balled up) up to your wrist. The staff never told the family the condition of her skin.
She left the facility for the hospital with necrosis of that same sore and very deeply debrided. It hasn't healed to this day.
Donot put your family member there!!!

Not at all, they were one of the kindest, most attentive individuals I've ever met
