Thinking of putting a loved one here? As they say in the movie - "Run Forrest, run". Unfortunately I have seen a lot of nursing homes in my day. This one is the worst. Care is so-so. Atmosphere is dark and dingy. Conditions are crowded. Staff is aloof. Administration is - well- how can I be the most kind - oh - I can't. Social Services department is batty. Dear God I rue the day I put my poor loved one in their hands and now I am planning a funeral.

The 2 nurses, nurse supervisor, and doctor that I dealt with were all as unintelligent as they were rude. I am a paramedic and I was sent there for a hypoglycemic resident. I wouldn't trust this staff to care for my goldfish, let alone a human being. They are an embarrassment to healthcare.

This is a horrific facility that is terribly understaffed. The nurses and the doctors do not listen to the concerns of the patients or their family, do not have time to meet in person and tie patients to wheelchairs to boot because they do not have staff enough to monitor the patients. The conditions are awful in this facility, so unless you are able to visit your family member at the facility every single day, you should not trust the staff with your loved ones. I couldn't caution you against this place enough.

To all those who care deeply about their loved ones. DO NOT ever let them come to this place. I made the mistake of not going to see the place with my own eyes the first day my mother was there. I showed up early the following day and could not believe what i saw. The person in charge of the room refused to interact w my mother or myself. Imagine being ignored by the person who is supposed to be taking care of your mother? It led me to believe that my mother herself was ignored the minute she got there information that was later confirmed by one of the other patients. When i tried to walk around the floor looking for the person in charge.. there was not one body sitting behind a desk. When i finally found someone to speak to I requested a supervisor was told that she too was busy which was not surprising! SO i got my mother dressed and took her out of there. i was asked to sign a release contract and that entailed 3 sentences on a copy that was faded due to years of making copies of a copy. The place is dirty, the staff is rude, the living conditions are unacceptable AND get this.. mom was given a BEEF PATTY for breakfast. That's right. The people there (none of which are medical professionals or remotely close) will kill your loved one.. one way or the other

They didn't listen to anything I had to say either! They offer recreation and all they do is smoke cigarretes with my aunt. They do not stimulate the patients and the activities are monotonous. Ther group leaders seem to be chosen off the street as they have no professional ettiqette or progam plans. They are rude and behave as if they all were employed through help of a friend. NOT RECOMMENDED. I had my aunt moved to Sherivier. More professional, cleaner, and way more friendly than Fieldston.. Save you time and your loved ones last days..
