My brother who recently had a stroke was transferred here and I was worried that it was too big but just the opposite they gave him very focused attention and really cared. Sherry the new Manager of Cor Mariae since last September actually accepts calls from family members and is open and a problem solver, she is not defensive so I felt very comfortable talking to her about a few issues and she fixed them immediately. That rarely happends. The therapy team is outstanding Julian, Tisha, Mark who is patient coordinator. All were responsible for my brother learning to speak again and to walk. Brian Anderlick a wonderful night charge Nurse manager actually went to the pharmacy himself to get my brother's prescription filled when it did not make it on Cor Mariae's pharmacy delivery that day. No one does that ... very personal treatment and Brian is rare! James is also an excellent caring compassionate night Nurse who even though is very busy took alot of time to listen to other family members and me to understand my brother through our experiences of him. Julianne the social worker also has helped very much. I would recommend Cor Mariae to all and it all starts with the right leadership. Brava to Sherry!

CM has been on a downward spiral since Presence took over. I have personally witnessed outstanding neglect of patients and ill will and disrespect toward employees who are working as efficiently as they can with severe staff shortages.

My mother is a resident here and her treatment has been terrible.First, It took them several weeks to provide her with even a clean bathroom (cleaned it after a poor review on the internet). Second, they would not answer her call light. On one occasion they did after nearly an hour wait. After nearly 10 more minutes, I then had to stand outside her room looking for the girl who responded to give my mother her fresh water. A kind gentleman who works here had finally gave her a drink. The lady who responded to her call apparently decided she wasn't going to do her job. And finally, today I discover that they are not giving her the antibiotics that was prescribed for her intestinal infection. My mother asked a nurse here why they weren't giving her her medication that she has had for nearly a week and the lady giggles and says she doesn't know (they never know anything here) and nor did she know where it was. It is my belief that they are holding my mother hostage and don't want her to heal. I believe that they are committing fraud on patient insurance and medicare. They keep extending her stay, and now won't give her the antibiotics to help clear the permanent colitis infection she has contacted! The pain from colitis isn't something to be giggling about. I only give one star, but it's only because I had to in order to submit the review.
