I was very unimpressed with their level of skill. It seemed like they had just started yesterday. The waiting area here is rather cramped. People often have to stand as there is not enough chairs. Their office was a little too loud. It wasn't unbearably loud but it was starting to hurt my ears.
So, in my own words, this place is a nightmare. The kind of place where abused people who drop off their parents as soon as they are deemed to not be independent. Its definitely a place to avenge past trauma.
My Father, 67, who normally runs a business, came there to recover from surgery. He arrived last friday. He has become acutely delirious, psychotic, sees people, mice & ants crawlibg the walls. His week old wound oozes yellow stinky fluid- enough to soak the bandage, his clothes, & his sheets is changed once a day, so he gets to lie in it most of the time . The nurse, Debbie, insists that since my father is 67yrs old a month ago, that its all normal & totally unnecessary for him to be evaluated by labs or a doctor. She Told me the doctor only comes in on Mondays unless an emergency occurs, & a 67 yo seeing stuff & sleeping in body fluids & trying to escape doesnt meet criteria. When Monday evening rolled around, the doctor still hadnt come by the center for his weekly visit, I wanted to know who the dr's boss was& complain that he hadnt shown up for work. Oh. He is the boss. He's the director as well, so he cant get in trouble for not showing up to work. U wud never put someone u love here. I wish I knew the doc only schedules a once a week visit, & even that is optional. My dad is being transferred to a facility that has medical supervision.
