Have visited several friends in Britthaven. Patients press the button for help and sometimes wait up to six hours or more, even when they've had an accident and are lying in their own feces and/or urine. No help comes, they aren't getting their needs met, due to the facility being so understaffed. One person who had just had hip replacement surgery arrived and his pain meds were not available until the next day.
The food doesn't even begin to meet USDA requirements. A typical meal I observed consisted of a breaded meat patty on white bread, with tater tots and a slice of pound cake, carton of milk and tea. Heavy on the carbs, disastrous for anyone with diabetes. No raw fruits or veggies for enzymes or vitamins, in fact, not any alkaline veggies or any fruit. How can a person recover or have any meaningful rehabilitation if the diet is so devoid of health building nutrients?
