They act very concerned and caring at admission.....fooled!!! My mom was fall risk, and I got a call within one week that she had fallen out of bed on the hard floor with no pad down, as required. They added and changed medications without my consent or knowledge. Her lasik dose was doubled on day after arrival, after 5 days hospitalization for sepsis(critical), they did not cancel antibiotics per her dr.'s order until one month later after telling Director of Nursing twice. She was unable to cut her food, talked to them several times, they still did not. She lost 21 lbs. in three wks. A pitcher of water was left on a tray, cups on a bedside table....she's in wheelchair! They gave her demensia drug, execulon patch, which is usually for behavior problems......she is NOT! It has numerous side effects, urinary tract infections, diareah, nausea, decreased appetite, wt. loss, etc. and within 2 wks., she had declined markedly. She was not urinating, could not sit up---I felt she needed to go back to hospital..they said no. Next day, she was worse, I had her taken, and she was severely dehydrated, stage I bedsores from being in wet diapers (they didn't take her to potty, and she's continent), her clothes were always wet with urine when I picked up her laundry. Hospital listed her condition as "poor" after one month with this center. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!! Her roommate was allowed to run the heat in June/July---82 to 85 degrees in the room.

My Sister recently stayed at the Bryan Center after a serious illness at the hospital, and they had her rehabilitated in only a week!
She received top notch care .
And the place is CLEAN, with no disgusting smells like most nursing homes have.
I will admit, I was desperately worried about admitting her at first, you hear the horror stories, and my sister is mentally challenged.
I would not hesitate to use them again! Really appreciate they were there when my sister needed them .
5 gold stars!!!

They answered most of my questions. Their staff was generally friendly but not particularly responsive. They advertise an "advocate" service providing at least weekly updates; I never heard from anyone. My mom is incontinent, which was well known. One Sunday, I picked her up for church at 9:15 AM, only to find her soaking wet and in the same clothes she had on at 6 PM the night before - 15 hours without a change. I called the Director of Nursing to discuss and she never returned my call. Food was adequate but not terribly healthy - french fries were served 3 dinners during her first week. Couldn't wait to get Mom out of there.
