This facility is nothing more that an income stream, as are many of the medical facilities in Louisiana. They have nothing but contempt for any patients who question them. Their system is in place for optimum revenue, and bare to the bone expense. Shameless hucksters.

Not really. It felt like they just cared about making money.

I did not feel safe at all in their care. I definitely had doubts about their qualifications. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. My problems were not addressed. I was just given more and more medication to "calm" me. I am now having more issues with panic, depression, anxiety etc than I had before entering that morbid place! Filthy, very unprofessional staff who acted like teenage thugs, and used filthy language all the time, spiders & roaches in the room, green fungus on the water fountain. I was sexually harassed by a male patient several times and they did NOTHING about it!
I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone.

I wish they gave me good advice, but most of the time they only give me advice that would benefit them. I do not agree with the way they do business here, it is always their way or the highway. They are so uncooperative if a customer complains and are never willing to admit if they are wrong. They made no attempt to follow up with me after my appointment. It isn't a big deal, but it does say something about the overall atmosphere of the office. There are times when I've been there, that I feel like they're favoring certain clients. It's not all the time, but I don't appreciate it when it happens. I didn't see the Dr. for the first 4 days nor a social worker. All we did was make Christmas ornaments and stuff. Very few classes.. I had to throw a fit to see the Dr. and get a social worker to make time to see me. I l left there feeling worse than when I went in. The ONLY GOOD THING is it is still one of the FEW mental hospitals where they take you outside to smoke

I was there with Sharon, and they really don't have good structure. The doctor barely talks to you, and the people who want to talk to you can't really help. They have people thrown wherever they want to. It;s completely out of control. There were some good staff members, but the rest were rather rude.
