I've been seeing Dr Murdy for 10 years. He is very caring and I feel safe telling him anything even the most personal stuff I wouldn't tell anyone else. He is serious, yet cheerful. He is very reassuring, encouraging and supportive. He is very knowledgable and sometimes seems to know even more than the specialists. He seems very up to date on the latest research. Sometimes he is late for his earliest appointments in the day due to rounds at the hospital but he is definitely worth the wait! I just bring something to read.

I've been going to Dr Murdy now for a couple years, & being a patient that has to many medical issues, its important for me to "like" my doctor. Dr Murdy is that "like-able" doctor for me. As an Internist he's well rounded in knowledge, & what he handles. Which is also important for me because I hate having 3 different doctors. If there's something he doesn't know, he's comfortable saying so.. & if another doctor is needed.. sending me to the specialist. What I really like about Dr Murdy is his sense of humor (thats right! over, & above his talent as a M.D.). I've had doctors most my life, & a lot of them were very talented as Doctors, but were miserable to be around because of their ego's. To me, I want those doctors in a Emergency situation, but not as a Primary Doctor. Dr Murdy is a doctor I'd take my kids to, or any-other loved one to. I recently found out he has a special interest in Geriatrics, & some of my elder family members are also patients of his, & have been for years, & all three of those elders love him too. Doesn't surprise me!
