This Dr, provided my alcoholic, depressed, suicidal sister with Xanax. Lots of Xanax. She drank and pilled herself into a near suicide and now we are fighting to get her into rehab to save her life. I have not talked to the Dr about this yet but he was very irresponsible to prescribe this at all.

I saw Dr Simpson for many years. Over the past three years of seeing him, I constantly complained of pain in my hips. He just blew me off. He would even go to the extent of pointing to his shoulder and saying "I broke this years ago, and it still hurts". OK, who is the patient? I changed doctors and my new doctor immediately had me go to physical therapy to see if that would help my pain, which it did not. I went through two series of cortisone shots, which only lasted a short amount of time. Finally, I had an MRI and it was discovered that my gluteous medias muscle was torn. I had surgery to hopefully repair the tear, but it had been torn for a period of time and had retracted, so it was unable to be repaired. The entire muscle has now been removed.

So, morale of this is, if I had pursued another doctor at an earlier stage, my muscle could have been saved.

I am afraid Dr Simpson is showing his age, he is after all in his mid 80's.
