We came to Crestwood after our ins. plan changed b/c we knew Ann Komelasky from our previous provider. May 25, 2012 she wasn t available to see my daughter for a hand injury so my daughter saw Dr. Harnum. Not very friendly, she looked at the hand, said she thought it might be broken and sent us to the hospital for an x-ray. They insisted I pay the full visit fee b/c my daughter had not met her deductible. However we had met our family deductible, but they continued to argue with me. They also told me I owed a small balance from December, 2011 - which I had never rec'd a bill for b/c it was under $25. After considerable time arguing with them & having to get to the hospital for x-rays I paid the full amount & left. Later I contacted the ins. co., who told me I had been correct. I should't have had to pay the full fee. The next day I contacted Crestwood & was told I had to wait until they rec'd payment from the ins. co. to receive a refund. After many calls with no results I went to the office with my ins. statement & was told it would be processed, but I had to wait until June 29 b/c checks are only cut every 2 wks. That didn t happen, of course. July 5th I called & was told the check would be waiting at the front desk for me today, July 13th. I even confirmed this several times before hanging up the phone. I got to the office & after waiting for them to "research" it I was told the check was mailed. Unbelievable. After them incorrectly making me pay the full office visit charge & dragging this out 7 weeks now, I am still waiting for my refund b/c someone didn t properly notate that she had told me to come pick the check up. All I want is the money I should not have had to pay to begin with!
Oh, & the hand injury? The evening of May 25th the nurse called to tell me the x-ray was negative for a fracture. That s all. No recommended treatments or suggestions or instructions to follow up. Just an it's not broken, have a good evening.
In no way would I recommend Crestwood Pediatrics to anyone, friend or foe.

This practice gets my vote for customer service. I have avoided the emergency room on more than one ocassion because of their late night openings. I also used their nurse practitioner who is a lactation consultant for help in nursing when I had problems. They all seem to really care and give me the personal attention I need.
