Dr. Widra gave me my life back. After struggling with bipolar disorder for nine years and hopping from psychaitrist to psychaitrist, I was unable to find a doctor that I worked well with and my bipolar disorder was out of control. With Dr. Widra things were different. From the start he took the time necessary to address concerns, answer questions, and listen to me. He is very knowledgable about the available psych meds and finds ways to minimize their side effects. He created a med routine that allows for an active lifestyle and adjusts any med that would impair that. At the start of an episode, I can call the office in the morning and he will find a way to work me into a booked schedule. He goes out of his way to accomodate me. Once he wanted to see me the following week but he was booked solid so he scheduled me to be seen during his lunch break. I feel like he has given me my life back after it had been all but taken away by my illness. Because of the care I received in order to get my bipolar disorder under control, I was able to get off of disability, finish college, and am now working a full time job. I would recommend him to anyone with mental health issues. He is amazing at solving problems.
