I was a patient of Dr Newman's for 18 months....He saved my life. I cannot say enough good things about this man. I loved his relaxed way of treatment. Wish I was still seeing him.

Newman has major mental issues himself and they are pretty severe. This guy is strange. He is agitated, thinks that he is Freud himself, doesn't know his medications, and is plain nuts.
This guy upset me far worse coming out of his office than when I went into his office in major emotional pain. I had mild depression brought on by hormonal imbalance and he turned my simple situation into a huge mental disorder. Avoid Avoid Avoid. He does NOT take insurance which is just as well since you need to go elsewhere. I hate attacking a doctor but this guy is dangerous in my opinion. And NO! I am not trying to damage a physician or his reputation - I just want others to have a good idea of what I walked into and what they MAY walk in to as well.

We saw this psychaitrist about 4 times and each time he increased spouse's meds. First, diagnosis was wrong. Second, meds were wrong and then increased way beyond recommended doses. Spouse was placed in the Psych Ward for three days due to the medications this dangerous "doctor" prescribed. This man is mentally ill himself. For instance, yelled at the patient and spouse, wanted to play "Freud" and spend 1.5 hrs twice to three times a week "talking". This was NOT necessary as the patient was a 63 year old man without any previous history of mental issues. This doctor does NOT accept any insurance and so it is in his best economic interests to keep the patient coming back and "talking". Very unstable person who should be avoided. He should NOT be practicing medicine of any sort.
DANGEROUS DOCTOR!!! Stay away from this guy. Just a nut job who went into psychiatry to find out why HE IS mentally ill.
