Dr. Brams is NOT a therapist; he is a medications-only doctor, though he has therapists in his practice. As a meds expert, he is probably the best in town. I've worked with him over a decade, and the problem is the irrelevance of having an apppointment. Time after time, I made an appointment, arrived on time, and waited and waited, only to be told that the doctor wasn't even in town! Always the excuse is he's on a plane with mechanical problems. It gets old after a while. His practice didn't used to be this way, and I'm wondering if Dr.Brams has developed some problems that his staff masks with "plane mechanical problems". I know he has pressing family issues of his own, but honesty would go a lot further with me.. If you have a complicated situation, by all means consult Dr. Brams, but be prepared to wait months to actually see him.

They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I have been extremely impressed with the progress I have made since I began with Dr. Brams. All my questions are answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. The office is very easy to locate. I've been seeing him for about 12 years...and he has become a very important figure in my life. The staff are amazing and are by far the best I've ever seen.

Matthew Brams MD is one of the more infamous "pill doctors" around.
He does no counseling, only prescriptions.
Hate your mother? Who cares? Take these pills and come by next week.
Want to kill yourself? (Pay in advance.) Try these other pills and see me in a week.
Depressed? Repressed? I don't have time to listen to all your little problems. Take more of the yellow pills and fewer of the blue pills and see me in a week.
You get the idea...
