Dr. Grant is terrible.

Why do people like him become doctors?

I met with him for maybe 10 minutes after spending about an hour with a woman on his staff giving her my medical history. (She, by the way, was wonderful; attentive; very nice).

However, Dr. Grant was cold, rude, disinterested, inattentive, pompous; I don't even recall him making eye contact with me -- he just stared at his computer screen.

He asked me to confirm how long I'd been taking a pain med prescribed by another doctor. I had filled this out on the intake questionnaire -- I wasn't trying to hide anything. I repeated what I had written on the questionnaire and apparently I was off by a few months (part of my symptomology includes memory problems).

It was an unintentional gaffe on my part. However, Dr. Grant was quick to correct me. He shook his head and cut me off as I tried to explain

The little weasel soon summarily dismissed me -- still unable to look up from his computer screen where the TX DPS website was visible.

I left there feeling like a lying, manipulative, drug-seeker. Just what I wanted after seeing my life completely fall apart over the prior 4 years with chronic pain and anxiety issues.

Dr. Grant is a very nice man, easy to talk to, but unfortunately hasn't helped my son long term. The wait time in the office took over an hour and 15 mins. after his set appointment time, without ever communicating to the patients what was taking so long. My son suffers from depression and anxiety, so the last 2 visits there made him even more anxious. We waited over an hour each time, and only spent 10 minutes tops with Dr. Grant. Not worth the time or expense in our opinion....

I cannot say my experience has been great, it has not. I have only seen the Dr. one time several years ago, when I first started. My medication regime has never fully worked and few changes have been made to find the right treatment, so I am moving on. I only see the Nurse. She is very nice and helpful, but not a Doctor! They stopped taking my insurance and the out-of-pocket expense is very high. Shop around if you can.

I have been treated in his office for depression, for several years. Seen almost exclusively by the nurse practitioners, almost always just one unless they leave the office to move, retire, etc. The care has always been good, caring and medically correct.
