As a new patient, I arrived 15 minutes before appointment time & waited 20 minutes before going back to exam room; undressed to underwear & put on mock, waited 10 more minutes before she came in apologized for being late & asked a few general questions while stood up & she checked my back pulled waistband of underwear out for a second & I turned to my side raised my arm pushed mock to the side pulled out the waistband of underwear for a second & did the same to other side. I sat down on the exam table, pulled the mock over my head to my waist she checked my chest, told me I had age spots and gave me a bookmark that had a check list of what melanoma looked & how to do self-examination. She had me lay down & she nipped off 2 skin tags under both my eyes. I asked her to check a place on my body I couldn't see & was told it was a skin tag. She & her assistant left the room & I got dressed & checked out. The whole in the exam room time she spent with me was 13 minutes. I could have left my clothes and got the same full body skin check. I can't see of the parts of even with a mirror with a handle on it. Even if I saw something that looked suspicious I wouldn't know to explain to medical person. Being a knowledgeable, competent, polite with good beside manners doctor doesn't make you a good doctor. Because you don't have any visible skin problems, doesn't make you any better when the doctor seem to be in a hurry.
