Excellent professional! Our son had right foot problem when we just came in the USA. We visited 3 different Orthopedists in 3 different locations around here. We used to go through physical therapy. Nothing didn't help. They all misdiagnosed problem and didn't treat it right way. Dr. C. Di Giovanni saved our son. We had just 2 visits and problem for solved. Our son was 14 at that time. He is 33 now. We are going to remember this Doctor always.

Dr Digiovanni was a real advocate for me and my problem, after seeing several other people who were not sure, and one who I think made it worse. I am 1,000 times better after his surgery, and I feel like I have part of my life back. I was impressed with his attention to me and I loved his staff too. All I can say to Dr. D and his team is thank you!

I was the first appointment after lunch, but was kept waiting for nearly an hour. I walked by DiGiovanni, who was sitting next to a computer; he had two residents with him. I waited another 15 minutes before he came in. He asked where my ankle hurt. Where DIDN'T it hurt. Pick a spot. I pointed to where a ligament was torn and he said, to the residents: "See? Subtalar arthritis. That's why I always have them point to where it hurts." Then he said to me, " I recommend injecting it. I'm going to proscribe a brace and if you're not better in six months, come back and see me, and we'll fuse it." That was the end of the conversation.
I'd seen my MRI and knew that there were multiple problems with the ankle, so I sought a second opinion. I'm glad I did. I found a competent doctor (podiatrist) and he repaired the torn ligaments, cleaned up the joint surface and removed a lot of debris. I'm MUCH better thanks to the fact that I didn't listen to this guy

Dr. DiGiovanni really took time to listen to my problem, look over my records and xrays, and answer my questions. He fused my foot joints and rearranged my arch and it has never been better! He always came in with a smile and some other doctors he was teaching, and I felt very well taken care of. I always felt like I could talk to him and more importantly I felt like he truly wanted to help me and would do his best. I do not feel that way about some of the doctors I see. I trust him.

With the least invasion he restored my crushed and useless foot. He is the only MD who every looked down at something and asked out loud, What's that? A very talented surgeon, excellent bedside manner. If I was fortunate in having been in a car crash it was finding him after other doctors turned me away. University Associates are generally superior.
