Having worked my entire adult life in the field of medicine, and having attended nursing school, I can be very critical of physicians. That said, Dr. Gross is the finest physician I have ever known. Not only is he caring, but he is a fine diagnostician and clinician. In his hospice work he saw my beloved mother, my aunt and my mother in law through the final stages of their cancers (each had smoker's lung cancer), providing each with caring and dignity during the worst times of their lives, when they could have felt abandoned and alone by another physician. He himself came to pronounce my mother, and to make sure my daughter and I were okay. He attended my aunt's funeral. During my mother's last months he would stop in "for tea", non-official visits as he said, and then would visit later in the same week for his "official visit". This man is all the caring TV doctors rolled into one, Dr. Kildare, Dr. Welby, Dr. Casey, etc. Dr. Gross is all of them and yet exceeds them. I am privileged to have known him, and my much loved relatives could not have had better care during their final days of life. Dr. Gross, thank you.
