A cautionary tale. Went to Sandra Lewis after 2 abnormal ecgs, chest pains, and shortness of breath. Received another abnormal ecg in her office. Explained to her I'm a late 50's, unemployed, divorcee, treated for depression, under lots of stress. She scheduled a nuclear test. The test was delayed because it hadn't been approved by my insurance. Weeks later I rec'd a call excitedly saying they received approval and I should reschedule my test. I didn't phone back right away but I kept receiving calls from NCI referring to the insurance approval and to please call and reschedule. After having the test she entered the exam room complaining about how awful my insurance company had been to deal with and I felt terrible for her. After much pressure to get a very expensive test all the results showed was a shadow that she didn't know what it was. When I got the bill my insurance company did not cover any portion of the test. After remaining unemployed and having paid NCI over $900 with a balance of $344 the home I was renting went into foreclosure forcing me to move. I wrote NCI a letter explaining the hardship and asking forgiveness of the final $344. They did not reply. Instead I rec'd a notice from a collections service that will add even more charges to my bill and further damage my credit. I feel she should have discussed the costs with me. She knew I was unemployed and had been a stay at home mom for 20 years so my chances of getting employment were quite slim. She claimed she spoke to my insurance company and should have known that they would not pay any of the costs. I also feel coerced into believing that all or a large portion would be covered since they kept referring to the great news that my insurance had given their approval. All around a very bad experience with the lesson learned that one must ASK about costs. There are people and businesses out there that will take advantage when you don't.

The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable. It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. The one thing that I really enjoy about this place is their high level of customer service. Their full attention is always on me and they never take personal calls during my appointment. I've been to other places that answer their phone and it just drives me crazy.
