I waited six years to post a review of Dr. Oglesbee. I was so hurt and emotional that I wanted to wait until I could be sure that I was not misinforming others out of anger or hurt feelings. The office staff was not remarkable, but I would never choose a doctor based on the clerks. Dr. Ogelsbee herself was fairly nice and polite with only a few instances of conflicting behavior. Having had a few socially awkward doctors that were great in their field we didn't think much of it. Things plummeted when we went in for the 36 week appointment and she immediately wanted to do an ultrasound which she had never done before. She told us that the placenta looked terrible, the amniotic fluid level was low and she needed to induce immediately. We objected, but Dr. Oglesbee ensured us that everything should be fine. With trust in our doctor we went to St. Francis and anticipated the delivery of our son. When Dr. Oglesbee broke my wife's water the nurses commented on the large amount of fluid. After the delivery, we asked the nurse about the condition of the placenta she said everything looked normal and later a pathology test revealed a completely healthy placenta. Soon after delivery our son was rushed to the NICU due to a lack of surfactant in his lungs. The projected due date was off by a few weeks which turned out to be life threatening. The following two weeks Dr. Oglesbee was coincidentally away on vacation. I've heard horror stories but could not imagine that anyone would put the life of an infant at risk to accommodate their schedule, however all of the evidence points to such practice in this instance. I'm proud to say that our baby boy is now healthy and strong but nothing can take away all of the pain accompanied with the possibility of losing your newborn. I urge you to do your research and don't hesitate to get a second opinion if something doesn't sound right.

They ignored my questions and my appointment seemed rushed. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. I found the office, but only because I had simple, very clear directions. I wish it had been easier to locate. The wait time is enormous, if you have insurance you can do better.
