My husband and I tried to conceive for 6 months, then finally reached out to Dr. Freeman... after one month under his care WE ARE PREGNANT!!! He has been excellent at answering my questions and I cant wait for him to deliver our first baby!

Great personality, he was my moms doc and i liked him. But i was a first time mom and i told him i had some concerns which ultimately lead to a miscarriage. i'm not blaming him, but i feel if he would have given me a bit more information (i had no clue what preterm labor was etc) and listened to my concerns, it might have been avoided.

Dr. Freeman has delivered all three of my children. he is very personable and has even called to check on me at home. he always takes time to get to know me and ask about me. I will never use any other OB as long as he is working. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. I love that they never cancel their appointments last minute here. I can always count on them to be there for me. They never have that typical, annoying music playing here. If they do play music it is soothing and appropriate for the setting. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important. They are completely committed to helping me as long as it takes to find the best solution. I never have to worry that they'll back out or give up if a solution isn't reached immediately, which has been a problem for me at other places.

Dr Freeman is wonderful, but there has been some changes to his staff. His front office is a hot mess, and he's waaaayyyy too busy for new patients. Dr's are only wonderful while you're in their office, if you can't get in then you don't get that part. I am a patient of Dr Freeman's. He took my IUD out, and knew we were going to TTC. We kind of "interviewed" him on that visit. This is because of my horrible experience with Dr. Denise Shaw delivering my first son. I have NEVER EVER heard anything good about that woman, and I'm no exception. She's had 4 C-Sections, and basically doesn't care about doing her job AT ALL.

Anyway, back to Dr Freeman's office. I found out I was pregnant on June 3. Called them the next day, and they couldn't get me in until July 8, and I would have been 10 weeks pregnant. I started spotting on the evening of Wed June 12. It faded, so I waited until the morning to call their office instead of going to the ER. I called Dr. Freeman's office at 9:00, and they said, "don't worry it happens all the time, we'll have a nurse call you." At 10:30 I still hadn't heard from a nurse, so I called them back. Again, "she's seeing patients, and probably won't call you until the end of the day....don't worry about it."

I couldn't stop worrying about it. I called my primary care dr. (OMG he's amazing btw - Dr John Jennings). The girl in his office said, "I don't know what he can do, but he can do a lot more if you come in than on the phone. Be here at 1 and we will work you in." They worked me in, did a UA, and sent me for an ultrasound. There was no cardiac activity. Dr Freeman's nurse finally called me back after I found this out...I just hung up on her. If you don't have anything nice to say....

Dr Jennings worked me back in his schedule at 9:00. He did a Quant hCG blood test, and didn't really know what to do from there. He said, "You're using Freeman, right." I said we're rethinking that, and he said "I don't blame you." He walked over to the Women's Health Group, which is located next door to him at the Hillcrest South Medical Plaza right in front of the hospital. He talked to them, and they told him to get them the blood test so they'd have something to compare theirs to, and that they were making me an appointment for Monday because it was "absolutely inappropriate to wait until July to get this handled."

Dr Melissa Dietz ordered another blood test and another ultrasound. The ultrasound confirmed that there had been progress in the baby since 6 weeks and 1 day (I was 7 weeks preg), and my hCG had dropped from 12,000 to 7,000. I had had a miscarriage. We do a DNC on Friday. This visit was basically an interview for a new OB (again). She's awesome. Has a sense of humor. Will do as little or as much as you want her to she feels that this is "your experience." Another thing to love about the Women Health Group, they can deliver/do procedures at St John, Hillcrest, and Hillcrest South. Also, there are like 6 Dr's in the practice, so if you end up not being able to be delivered by your OB, it will still be someone from that office. The Women's Health Group has a large staff, and they're all very nice. They all asked me if I was ok. There are two ultrasound techs in that office. You don't have to go anywhere else for your 20 weeks scan. They also have a 3D/4D machine. They have and/or will make time for their patients!

I called Dr Freeman's office to cancel my initial OB appointment. I said "I need to cancel my July 8th OB appointment because I'm not pregnant anymore, and your office is not taking care of me anymore." The very chipper receptionist just said "OK!" I said "You're going to get a request for what records are there." Again, very chipper "Ok, have a nice day!" I basically said "I lost my baby, and y'all are fired." She barely noticed. I am 100% positive that Dr Freeman himself doesn't even know that any of it happened, but I cannot/will not deal with a front office like that.

If I would have listened to their advise of "don't worry," I very well could have gone to my July 8th appointment expecting to see a 10 week old baby in my womb. How much worse would this experience have been if I was 3 weeks more attached to this baby? How bad would I have felt if I knew there was something wrong, but did what they said instead of getting it checked? Since I'm still not doing anything but spotting off and on, how long could I go like this? How bad could an infection be with this going on for that long?
