The wait wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best

Karen stated I needed a mastectomy ASAP! And recommended immediate breast reconstruction with tissue expanders by her husband Mike Columbus. (nepotism) When I causually and I mean casually mentioned my first surgeon (this was my second time with breast cancer) she was 'curt' with her response "Well you should have gone to Dr. Hasslgren"! At that time I was still stunned with my diagnosis. I stumbled over my words and apologized to Karen who just sat there looking at me.Yes, I actually aplogized to this surgeon who I agreed to remove my breast. Besides Dr. Haselgren is now practicing in Boston 1100 hundred miles away. How was I to travel such a long distance facing breast cancer? My last memory of Karen is her sticking her head in the pre op room annoucing to my husband and my pastor "If it wasn't for your breast reduction we would have never found your cancer"! So much for the HIPAA act which is posted on her own web site. I never saw her again, no follow up visit...nothing. Overall her attitude was belittling. The entire ordeal was a medical nightmare. I am being truthful. Karen falls short when it comes to mastectomies. Read my review on her husband Mike Columbus. Take note, Karen is listed as a Top Doc voted by her fellow peers NOT patients. So much more I could say.

They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. The staff was one of the most respectful, compassionate staffs I've ever seen. Their equipment was very advanced and sophisticated. I was very impressed. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance.
