I went to dr. Pittman in 2012 to have lipo on my upper back and my sides. I was not even on both sides and one side looked like it was not even done. He had to redo that side. When I went to see him for the surgery again, I was actually frightened by his frail appearance. I was unaware that he was ill, but suspected something at that point by his appearance and also when I was told that he sold his townhouse. The second surgery still did correct the the issue completely, however, it's a little better. When I went to see him for a follow up, I did not think he had much time left. I was told to make a appointment to see him this month, June 2014. I never did make that appointment because I really did not want to see him again. I did receive an email yesterday telling me that he is retiring from practice this month. That is a very good decision. One he should have made a couple of years ago.

He ruined my wife. He did the worst tummy tuck, in the history of mankind. He is a monster, and should lose his medical license. She went for lipo, got uphold. He ruined her.

Dr. Pitman gave me a liposuction of my hips, stomach, knees and outer thighs. The
job was lopsided and left me with two different sized knees and scars on my outer
thighs. He took 40% less fat than promised. I am sure that his residents
did most of the work. I went back to him two years later and told him how
dissatisfied I was with his work. He just laughed and refused to correct it.
I found another plastic surgeon who balanced my knees, filled in the
scars and did another liposuction of all the areas that Pitman did.
Pitman's indifference is scarey. On the day after surgery he called me
and asked me to be in his textbook. I refused. Pitman is irresponsible
and I can't imagine how he continues to be in Best Doctors. Rather, he should be
black-listed from performing surgery.

over the past decade i have had numerous cosmetic work done in different areas on my body. lets face it, as we get older our bodies need attention. i have done extensive research and consulted with many reputable cosmetic surgeons in nyc. when it comes to my body, i only want the best. it is not so easy to get these "makeovers" but "we gotta do what we gotta do". i would not even think twice about having any work done unless dr. pitman was the one doing it. he is just fabulous in all aspects. i honestly can speak on behalf of myself, friends and family who have had work done by dr. pitman as well, and all of us could not be happier with the results. his team is composed of the brightest, most professional, and most experienced. i have read some horrific stories of botched jobs done by various surgeons and i can assure you that any patient of dr. pitman is in the best of care. there is no doubt that this man delivers only the finest of the finest and he does not settle for anything less than that. i have had an extreme mommy makeover consisting of a lower tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and lipo suction within a 10 year period. pictures of what "was" and what "is" only confirms to me why dr. pitman has been named amongst "americas top doctors" year after year. thankyou dr. pitman for maintaining and creating a work of art. a special thanks to your staff as well for always taking the bull by the horns and making sure a patient receives nothing but the ultimate care.

This Doctor should not be performing any more surgeries. He has permantly damaged major exposed parts of my body and mental state. I believe he once had great reputation of being the best(perfectionist) for lipo but has totally lost it. Not sure what happened??? age? health? emotional status? but should hang up his surgical gloves for good. There are so many other great surgeons that love what they do and perform all of their own procedures.But he is now just riding on his past complishments and is no longer capable of doing even a a decent job. He uses assistants to do his work for him (trainees) but he will never disclose this to you openly (read the fine print). Beware and find another reputable doctor who is compassionate and ethical and is still performing his own surgeries. Don't get taken for a ride. I wish I was warned as I am now learning after the fact from others with the same problems lately and recently from antoher doctor stating " I just had a patient last week from Dr. Pitman's with the same deformities" When will he stop???
