This was my second visit to Dr. Schwartz's office. I waited well over an hour. I could not believe how nasty she was to me! I went in to speak to her about my thyroid and pre-diabetes. She had her tech do a thyroid sonogram on me. But she never laid a hand on me to feel the nodules on my thyroid, never even examined me whatsoever. She spent the FOUR MINUTES with me looking at my chart, with barely any eye contact. She was condescending, did not answer my questions, and admonished me for being informed, saying, "you think you're the doctor - diagnose yourself!". She said "There is nothing wrong with your thyroid - you have diabetes, EMBRACE IT! Get on Metformin - the vitamins and supplements you're taking are not doing you any good - none of them have been proven!"

She did not do a urinalysis, or order any bloodwork. I don't understand HOW she stays in practice, or how anyone can work for her. I would not send my worst enemy to her office. She has a terrible bedside manner, and is closed-minded and negative, and seems very uninformed. She actually told me that the Glucosamine I'm taking for my joins is bad for my sugar, because it starts with GLUCOSA - which is NOT TRUE AT ALL!!!

Do yourself a favor and STAY FAR AWAY from this office.

Every time I asked the staff a question, they referred me to someone else

Somewhat. But I mostly felt ignored.

Put me on meds I did not need. Went to see her for an endocrine problem and she tried to create a diabetic issue. She put me on Meds that got me very sick and refused to return my calls when I tried to contact her regarding the reaction to the meds. She put me on 500 of Gluophage (sp) for High Insulin levels. It was awful I though I was dying and it took over a week to get her on the phone. Her phone people wished me well and hung up...no help..and her nutritionist cause me other issues!!!
