My father was a patient of vakiener. He was under his care for at least 25 years. He had the utmost faith in vakiener , emphasis on had. My father had congestive heart failure. It was very obvious that my dad was in stage 4 heart failure. I'm a registered nurse, which it became very obvious that vakiener became threatened with me because of my medical background. Dr vakiner sent my dying father on one wild goose chase after another to see pulmonolgy, neurosurgery, and gi. He would not address the fact that my dad was dying first and foremost with my dad which was so wrong in everyway. He refused to do his part to set up oxygen for my father although it would have been as easy as the stroke of his pen. My family had to corner this joke of a doctor to find out what the plan was, life expectancy. He made reference to the fact that he wasn't Ben Casey and the best we could get is that he was nearing the end of the road. I had to go to his superior to get the oxygen and get hospice in place. All he did was argue with me over every thing. My father passed away a little over a week after being released from the hospital. Vakiner is a egotistical incompetent doctor. It saddens me that my father ever thought this man gave a damn about him. Do not go to this "doctor".
