I think it was in 1973, Dr. Lynfield saved my 9 year old daughter’s life. She had been swimming laps in our Borough of Ridgefield, NJ Olympic pool
and had complained to the teacher that she didn’t feel well. When she csme home and I put my arms around her, her heart was beating very fast. I took her to our pediatrician and after he saw her EKG, told me to get her into New York at New York Medical Center I believe. There Dr. Lynfield told us she was in super ventricular tachycardia. He and his team saved her life by actually shocking her by putting her head in ice. I may not describe exactly how it was applied, but I do remember. And years later, at Rutgers Ubpnivdtsity she took a train to see her again as she had a similar problem with her heart. I am so grateful to this wonderful doctor for helping her, Jeannie Surh . His name seemed to come to me as I look at Jeannie’s photos . She passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2020 after battling it for almost 3 years! She never complained and took such great care of her beautiful family. Thank you, , Dr. Lynfield. I am glad to see you are still practicing as you are a gifted and compassionate doctor.
