My children have been patients of Dr. Albanese and his staff for 22 years. Never once have I felt that he was inattentive, rude, or condenscending. I have always had all of my questions answered and have always felt that he and Dr. Vecchio have treated my children as if they were their own. I have called in the off-hours and have always received calls back within reasonable amounts of time. My oldest is 22 years old and hesitant about leaving this doctor's office because of the great relationship she has established with Dr. Albanese. I would recommend Kids Docs to anyone who is looking for a pediatrician!!!!

I am late in writing this review, but still time later, very frustrated. It was after Hurricane Sandy and my then 3 yr old was running a 101 fever. I was happy to find the offices open when I came in, however infuriated when told my daughter wouldn't be seen because the entire staff was going on lunch! I was told I had to wait over an hour! My daughter was fevered throughout the storm and when the time finally passed and I was able to bring her in, the audacity of them to not at least offer to regulate her temperature. I would have been more understanding if they were currently with a patient, but NO! The DR HIMSELF was sitting right behind the desk with his staff, denying my daughter care. The time they spent arguing with me to tell me they wouldn't see her, (over 10 minutes!) they could have seen her. The DR, argued with me more than his staff.. DR. ALBANESE. I left the office feeling defeated and as if my child didn't matter, one of the worse feelings a parent can feel when going to bat for their child. I googled and found another provider who took my daughter and saw her right away. Now here we are, all this time later, and this Dr.'s office STILL HAS NOT sent my daughter's records to the new provider, despite the multiple requests made by both myself and the new provider. First I was told they lost her records (right...) then when they called saying they found them, somehow they still never made it to the new doc. Shame on this facility. True shame.

Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this doctor to my friends or family. Their staff was a little rude and never went out of their way to help you. They have worked with him so long they think that they can give out medical advice over the phone- They are not friendly and don't make you feel welcome when you call or come in. When I finally decided to change offices, I had to call several times to get the medical records that I had PAID to receive. The office staff kept telling me-it's in the mail. I live very close to the office so it could only take 1 maybe 2 days for me to receive the mail but weeks passed and still I did not receive them. Finally, after I got aggressive with them on the phone (after several calls) they offered me to come to the office and pick up a copy the records. Dr Albanese is very condescending-he talks down to you like he's heard it all before-and could care less about hearing it again. He has no bedside manner. He is knowledgeable but doesn't even allow you to complete your sentences before he's jumping in and telling you what the issue is. I called the office after hours one time b/c of a severe cold my child had- he basically talked to me like I was an idiot and shouldn't have bothered them after hours. He has no empathy for first time parents who may be overly worried. Luckily, I had a child who was generally well so I didn't have to rely on the office for much. Honestly, I think I went to the urgent care more than the pediatrician b/c it was just easier to get appts. I would avoid Dr Albanese everytime I came to the office and ask for a different doctor to see us. On a positive note-I must say though Dr Yoo is wonderful and I almost stayed b/c of her but sometimes you cannot choose who you are going to see when you go there. The other thing is we hardly had a wait when we went there it was always prompt service.
