Dr Pearl was angry about a test result not recorded at my office visit. He told me to move down on the table to edge, which I did. He then did a rough vaginal examination with no nurse or staff present. We had words and I left.

Wonderful care and concern shown by the provider and his staff. I want to express how professional the staff and physician were during the visit.

One of the best experience I have ever had. He dilivered my daughter about 18 years ago. He was up front, realistic and open to me having music on in the back ground during my daughters birth. I even tried to go see him for my son and drive an 1 1/2, unfortunately that didn't work out.

Dr Pearl delivered my son almost a decade ago, and I still can't forget how rude he and his office were to me. First of all, upon taking a pregnancy test, I wasn't told of the positive result, instead I was ushered into an office where a nurse told me of the likelihood of miscarriage in the first trimester at the same time she was shoving pregnancy brochures at me. I had to finally ask, "Am I pregnant?" and she was like, "Well, yes, but you could still have a miscarriage." She scared me unnecessarily (I wasn't having any bleeding or anything and in fact, my pregnancy was fairly problem-free).

I had no problem with Dr. Pearl until I was about 8 months along and I DARED to ask him his policy on episiotomies. He got visibly defensive and barked at me "Look, I'm not going to do one so that I can get back out on the golf course, if that's what you mean!" I was so shaken by his anger over me asking a simple question about my own body that I wanted to switch doctors, but I was already in my 8th month. I went ahead with him, and let him tell me I needed to be induced when I was a week overdue, because I was afraid to question him after his earlier annoyance with me. Bad decision! I don't think my son was ready to come out and I had many problems with the induction, and my son's heart rate dropped due to all the pitocin and then he had to be delivered by forceps. It was not the gentle birth I had hoped for, and I can't help but wonder what would have happened had he let my body do what it wanted to do instead of playing God. I hope he has changed since I was his patient, but I doubt it. i'm sure there are many doctors out there who are more respectful of their patients with a better bedside manner.
