The Lower Burrell office seldom answers their own phone. I have called at different times during office hours and an answering service picked up. They do not have evening hours for the convenience of people who work and the pediatric person is in only during the day, so that I MUST take my child out of school and I MUST call off work if I want my child to be taken care of. VERY INCONVENIENT.

As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of there way to help me! I went in for a consult regarding some tooth pain. Found out i needed a root canal and a filling. In less than a week I had an appointment for the both. Dr. K. Alagirisamy was my dentist, and she was very informative and professional. The root canal was done and over with, and done very well I might add. I am happy with the results!1 Only negative is that I have had to reschedule my cleaning 3 times now due to the fact that there hygienist can't keep her appointments for one reason or another. I am not really sure why. Office staff is great and the pricing of the root cnal and filling was not bad, via Atena DMO.

They barely gave me any information at all. They dentist and the hygenist were talking the entire time as if I wasn't there and I didn't understand their "dentist language." Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. I felt like they were "fixing" things that were'nt wrong...I had to learn that the hard way. I had a "cavity" filled. My tooth had never hurt EVER in my life but they told me I had a cavity and it needed filled. I got it filled and it is now 6 days later and I am in severe pain. I can't eat or drink anything cold without feelng like someone is stabbing my face and I have a constant headache. I wish I had never gone here and I would give them zero stars if that was an option.

I went to Katsur Dental in Lower Burrell for a routine exam. The dentist (woman from India, forgot her name) said that I had 3 fillings that were "leaking" and that needed to be replaced. I was shocked because they looked normal and I didn't have any problems with them. The first 2 were done and afterwards I had extreme pain and sensitivity in the one. Then they worked on the third a week later. They drilled out the old filling and replaced it with more filling. The woman that filled it was very clumsy and kept banging my top, front teeth with her tools. Then when I went out to my car, I almost fainted. They broke off the front of the molar and filled it in with silver filling. Before the tooth just had a small filling in the center of it and now the whole front of the tooth was gone. Plus, there were shards of metal all through my mouth. I wanted to cry, I pride myself in having beautiful teeth and this has caused me severe anxiety. I did research after the fact and found that my teeth didn't even meet the criteria for a "leaking" tooth. In my opinion, they fixed what wasn't broken to make a few bucks, only at my expense and my crappy insurances expense that only pays for me to go there. Words of advice, do not go to Katsur!!! Pay out of pocket for a good dentist, it will be worth every penny!

They always explain every aspect of my dental procedures to me. I never have to worry. They gave me sufficient information to make a decision about my treatment plan. I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment. They were running really behind and I was disappointed because it threw off the rest of my day. My wait was well over 2 hours, w// 3 small kids in a waiting room that was NOT set up to accomodate children ((though I hear it usually is))
